It’s that time of year again. I wake up early on the weekends for the sole reason of enjoying my morning, enjoying the way the light shines through my window, and how the rest of the world is asleep, leaving me with ample time to relax and think.

It’s also the time of year where the heat is so unbearable that my go-to outfit involves three things: a breezy dress, a statement accessory, and a pair of comfortable sandals. I’m not sure why– perhaps there’s some sort of psychology behind it– but certain outfits immediately lift my mood, showering me with a whole new sense of confidence. This particular outfit is one of them.

I stumbled across this Free People Serafina Off the Shoulder Dress after someone returned it to my store. The second I processed her return, I knew I had to try it on for myself. How could she not love it? The fabric, the color, and the simplicity of the style were enough to make me fall in love. One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure, I suppose. I tried it on and was instantly sold.

Similarly, this Free People Riviera Collar Necklace was a standout item for me. I arrived early to work the day of purchasing this beauty because I knew we had just received some new pieces, and wanted to see all of the new styles. The necklace immediately caught my eye. I’m not sure if it was the beaded collar, or the tassel that did me in– maybe it was both– but I couldn’t wait to buy it.

Paired together, with my most comfortable sandals and a cute pair of Free People Shoot for the Moon Sunnies, I was on top of the world that day.
